Wood

Kitchen Gallery Stratford upon Avon (52).JPG

Natural and beautiful in the right application, wood can deliver so much to a setting.

We pride ourselves on our woodworking skills which started with the crossover in acrylic to wood on kitchen applications. Since then we’ve produced countless projects with natural hard woods, finishing them with soft matt lacquers, stained to resemble ‘Black Ash’ found in the rainforest but at 5% of the cost and pantone matched bespoke spray projects in our dedicated spray booths.

 Acrylic

We work with all acrylics out there in the market from Corian to Staron to Hi Mac to Tristone to MiroStone to Valstone.

Acrylic offers almost unbeatable antibacterial properties for food and laboratory applications. It allows the client to have a fully sealed, nonporous, antibacterial worksurface. We can cove the upstands to create some of the most hygienic areas possible in a hugely varied colour palette. Check out our case studies to see more

 Metalwork

Used for both for its structural properties and its very popular ‘industrial look’ we use steel frameworks in a lot of our projects.

It can vary from a hidden steel box frame to coffee table legs to go into someone’s café or home. With options of a rustic weathered look, a clear lacquer or powder coated to match a retailers brand colours…. Steel will always be up there as a favourite for us.

 Glass

If used in the correct application glass can work wonders on projects.

It allows a clear and precise look, a trait that is also required in the manufacturing process. Bonded together glass can offer a beautiful finish to walls, furniture tops and even formed into chairs!

 Solid Grade Laminate

Once upon a time solid grade laminate was a rather ‘basic’ looking material with it’s solid black core and extremely (and we mean extremely!) durable qualities.

In essence made up of layer upon layer of paper glued together it’s amazing what the material can withstand. Now, with the introduction of materials such as Bushboard we can, and do utilise Solid Grade Laminates in more applications than ever due to their array of different colour cores.

At BoldSG we love new products, we love to see what they can be used for and how they respond to machining.

Over the past 12 years we’ve made a conscious effort to keep free space in our schedule to experiment with new materials and their capabilities. If you have a look or feel you’re trying to achieve then speak to our specification team on 01299 252921 and discuss your ideas…. Equally if you have a product in mind that you want to try and use but are unsure of the process, let us know and together we can test the material to see if it’s suitable for the application you have in mind!
